Dec 07: Family Message

Ram Families,

This week at Roosevelt, 5th grade students, parent chaperones and teachers went to Camp Seymour. They had an amazing time learning about our pacific northwest environment.  They got to sleep in cabins, try archery, canoeing, hiking and connecting with each other. Thank you so much to Ms. Gilbert, Ms. Bentley & Mr. Justin for planning and organizing this trip.  Thank you to our amazing parent volunteers who agreed to spent two days with our students at camp.  Thank you to everyone who shared our donation link and contributed to our fundraising to ensure our Rams got to go to camp.

The holiday season brings joy and excitement, but it can also present sensory challenges for many children with bright lights, crowded spaces, new environments, and changes to routine. Whether your child has specific sensory needs or simply gets overwhelmed during busy holiday activities, these practical tips can help make your family's celebrations more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. From simple strategies for shopping trips to thoughtful preparations for visiting relatives, these suggestions offer easy ways to create a more sensory-friendly holiday experience that allows all children to fully participate in the magic of the season.
