Apr 19: Family Message

Ram Families,

This week at Roosevelt, we worked really hard to get back into the swing of the routine of school. Thank you for supporting your student in getting a good nights sleep.  We find the students who struggle the most with emotional regulation and self-control are the ones with the most erratic sleep schedules.  You can support your child in being ready for sleep by having a consistent routine that they follow each night, this tells their body it is time to wind down and get ready.

Students who are at school more than 90% of the time are 4 times more likely to be learning at grade level.  When students are at Roosevelt nearly every day, their learning grows so quickly.  Thank you to everyone who gets their students to school every day, on time. We appreciate you!!

To Do: Enjoy the spring weather and take care of yourself.

Students, families invited to tour colleges

All Tacoma Public Schools families are invited to participate in our annual set of College Tours for Families.

Tacoma Public Schools’ Community Partnership Office, in partnership with the College Success Foundation, organized tours of seven outstanding local colleges. Guests will tour campuses and learn from college staff about the admissions process, financial aid, scholarships and college life—unique to each school.

Tours are designed for TPS students and families to learn together. Explore your future possibilities and gain firsthand insights into programs, resources and more.

Registration is open now for four tours. Register here: Family Engagement - Tacoma Public Schools
